The Farmers’ Truck is closing it’s online store and instead will be focusing on getting local food into NB schools.

(December 12, 2017 – Moncton, NB) It is with a heavy heart that we have made a strategic decision to close The Farmers’ Truck business effective Dec 18, 2017. This will allow us to focus on an initiative to bring local food to schools in New Brunswick.

Most of you know The Farmers’ Truck from the mobile farmers’ market during the summer season. We had also launched an online store to make local food more accessible all year round. This business venture has been a rewarding experience with important learning that we can take into our new endeavour. We would like to take this time to express our gratitude to our valued customers, producers, and friends in the local food movement, which we met along our journey.

The team at The Farmers’ Truck is now continuing its mission to promote local food. We are joining forces with a new Cooperative called CANB (Cooperation in Agri-Food New Brunswick) which is mandated to bring local food to all the schools in New Brunswick.

Our mission has always been to innovate local food access. By joining CANB, we will be better equipped to execute this mission on a much larger scale.

Thank you for your support, patience and understanding while we work to make local food more accessible.
